Raised Cushion Panel: The padded section stands proud of a flat surround instead of sitting flush.
Piped Outline: A welt follows the cushion’s edge, drawing a clean line between panel and frame.
Twin Sections: A centre seam divides the cushion into two, each with a softly domed top.
Recessed Deck: The mattress drops into a shallow well and stays where it is put.
Lower Sitting Height: The base is shorter than a solid one, so the mattress top sits closer to the floor.
Storage Beneath the Bed: The platform swings up to reach the full area under the mattress.
Assisted Lift: Gas struts carry the weight and stay locked while the compartment is open.

About Motif Storage Bed with Dion Base

Set the raised panel over the lower base and the proportion changes: less bed below, more headboard above, and the piped outline sitting right at eye level for anyone standing in the doorway. The shallow well in the deck earns its keep quietly, holding the mattress square to that panel so the line stays straight instead of drifting off centre.

Styling Tip: Keep the duvet pulled right up to the panel rather than folded back, so the piped line reads as the top edge of the whole bed.
