About Penrose Storage Bed with Naturel Base

A King in this design measures wider than most sofas, so the first thing to do is measure the wall rather than the mattress. What that width buys is a bed that finishes itself, with the wings standing in for the nightstand-lamp-artwork arrangement a plainer headboard needs to look complete. The taller solid base underneath keeps the storage deep, which matters because a bed at this scale usually means a room that has given up its floor space to it. It belongs in a primary bedroom in a detached home, not a condo.

Styling Tip: Let the wings do the framing and keep the wall above completely bare, with the nightstands tucked inside the overhang rather than beyond it.
