About Carta Bed

The footboard ends are capped in shaped wood that turns down and continues into the front legs, so the whole frame reads as one line rather than a box with legs attached. Above it, the headboard is deeply button-tufted with folded wing sides, which gives you a real back to lean into when you are reading rather than a flat panel. It suits a bedroom with enough floor space to walk around all four sides, because the shape is built to be seen from the side as much as from the front. On a cold February night it carries a heavy duvet and a folded wool throw across the footboard without looking overloaded.

Styling Tip: Repeat the curved leg line beside the bed with the Carta Nightstand, and keep the wall behind the headboard plain so the tufting stays the focal point.
