About Moda Armchair

At ninety centimetres deep this is a lounge chair rather than an occasional one, and the proportions say so before you sit down. The back curves around from one arm to the other, so it holds you from three sides instead of just behind, and the arms stop low enough that the chair never feels like a box. It works best pulled away from the wall and angled into a room, where the round shape can be seen from every side. Put it by a window with a lamp behind it and it becomes the chair everyone reaches for first on a dark afternoon.

Styling Tip: Angle it across the corner of a rug rather than squaring it to the wall, so the curved back stays in view.
